Rob is Operations Manager of the Special Service department; which includes wildlife control, bird control and abatement, termite division, and Thermal Remediation department. Rob has a long history in wildlife control. He was first employed with the Illinois National History Survey as a Wildlife Ecologist from 1990-1995, where he conducted many research projects including working with raccoons, white-tail deer, and badgers. In 1999, became a member of the Smithereen team in the wildlife control department and in 2003 Rob was promoted to Operations Manager of Special Services. It takes a dynamic and knowledgeable leader to handle these specialized and varied pest problems and Rob has proven up to the challenge. In 2012 the Thermal Remediation department was added to special services and has been keeping Rob busy with the bed bug epidemic. Rob has many licenses and certifications including Nuisance Wildlife Control Permits, IDPH Structural Pest Control licenses, and many OSHA safety certifications. Rob received a B.A. in Biology and Wildlife Management and a minor in Microbiology from Western Illinois University.
